May 8, 2520 --- Construction commenced on expanding the underground facilities of the E.D.A. Headquarters, following the establishment of a new research institution.
July 5, 2520 --- From a sample layer of earth, large quantities of metalic, seemingly man-made structures keep appearing. Were there people like us in pre-history, and did they have a civilization? It's an extraordinarily interesting thing. (The 3rd Scientific Research Division has been placed in charge of continuing the excavation)
July 7, 2520
--- Testing began of
the Federation's newest weapon, the "Silvergun". Test crafts
1-3 are aboard the space cruiser Tetra, while test crafts 4 and 5
are aboard the space cruiser Penta. If Guy wrecks another new craft...
July 9, 2520
--- A "Stone-Like"
object has been excavated from a pre-historic layer of earth beneath the
E.D.A. Headquarters. I've passed it to the 3rd Research Lab,
but they just can't determine what this puzzling object is made of, or what
it was meant to be used for. How should this be dealt with?
July 13, 2520
--- What is this? It's just absolutely
vexing trying to understand. Was that really a pre-historic layer of earth?
Why was a robonoid buried there? It bears a little too close a resemblence
to that thing the 3rd Research Division discovered last year. Is
that merely a coincidence? This is only deepening my interest.
July 14, 2520
--- According to reports from the space
cruiser Tetra, as well as the Penta, the test results on the
Federation's latest "Silvergun" weapons are superb. The
3rd Research Lab has also been successful in extracting the memory
chip from the excavated robonoid. I've ordered them to recover as much of
the data as possible, yet I feel keenly uneasy. I really can't say...
Finally, July 14,
2520, 10:00 PM ---
With a flash released by the "Stone-Like" object, humankind
was annihilated. Having taken refuge above a satellite, the space cruiser
Tetra's crew of four people and one robonoid remain...
